I took a screenshot of what the ads were in Chrome at the time but I'm not sure it's enough. I added a new thing to the Google Chrome Shack Extension that prompts people when they change pages using onbeforeunload, but I can't really know if it'll stop that ad from doing its thing again until (unless?) it happens again.
I'll upload the updated extension to the Google Code page if anyone else wants to keep the Developer Tools window open and run the new version.

If you run a nightclub and it turns out the taps in the bathroom may electrocute people, you can blame the builder/plumber/electrician *the moment you find out about it*.
If you instead keep the club open and don't do anything about it, while people get electric shocks from trying to wash their hands, then at that stage I think it's fair to blame you, even if someone else is responsible for the initial mistake.
