I took a screenshot of what the ads were in Chrome at the time but I'm not sure it's enough. I added a new thing to the Google Chrome Shack Extension that prompts people when they change pages using onbeforeunload, but I can't really know if it'll stop that ad from doing its thing again until (unless?) it happens again.
I'll upload the updated extension to the Google Code page if anyone else wants to keep the Developer Tools window open and run the new version.

The bad news is that once the spammers realize you're not policing your ads, you're going to be a huge target.
The TLDR is: First you have to figure out which ads are the offenders.Then you have to figure out which provider is serving the offending ads. Both of these things are hard, especially if you're unwilling or unable to disable an entire network of ads.
