Word has surfaced that a new PSP game based on the Hunter X Hunter manga and anime series is being developed by Namco Bandai.

Next week's new releases include the console version of Ridge Racer Unbounded, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, the PC edition of Rayman Origins, indie survive 'em up Lone Survivor, eerie puzzle-platformer Closure, and more.

EA is shutting down online services for another round of older games, as it does so like to do, including Burnout Revenge, January 2011 release Spare Parts, and EA Sports MMA--one of the first games to use EA's Online Pass scheme.

The good times continue to roll, with new releases next week including Ninja Gaiden 3, the Silent Hill HD Collection, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, expandalone Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai, Angry Birds Space, and Kid Icarus: Uprising

Next week will bring something very rare and special--a new PS2 game. Other new releases include Street Fighter X Tekken, I Am Alive, MLB 12: The Show, and something named Mass Effect 3--looks like some sort of sci-fi shooter-RPG to my eyes.

The PlayStation Network is going down for 14 hours of particularly disruptive scheduled maintenance on Thursday, that'll leave everyone unable to use their Sony doodads for anything that requires being signed into PSN--including online multiplayer.

Sony is forecasting a $2.9 billion annual loss for the fiscal year, after a disappointing quarter that suffered a $2.1 billion net loss at the end of December.

Ready or not, The Tester Season 3 is happening. Sony's video game-themed reality series returns for a third year, this time with a whole lot more at stake.

PSP bundles with Twisted Metal: Head-on and MotorStorm: Arctic Edge; Patapon and LocoRoco; and Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee and Hot Shots Tennis will be available in January at retail and the PSN.

"Routine scheduled maintenance" will bring great chunks of the PlayStation Network offline for most of Thursday in North America, Sony has announced.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim headline a packed release bill next week, which also includes Rayman Origins, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, L.A. Noire on PC, Super Mario 3D Land, and so much more.

With the PlayStation Vita not launching until February, Sony would have been left without a shiny new handheld box on store shelves this holiday season. Enter a new PSP-3000 'Entertainment Pack' bundle, containing FIFA 12 and Cars 2.

Battlefield 3 (or JetProne64, to use its true name), Stronghold 3, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Sword of the Stars II, inFamous: Festival of Blood, The House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut, and heaps more new games are arriving next week.

Next week will bring Batman: Arkham City, Rocksmith, Dungeon Defenders, Payday: The Heist, and heaps more.
