- Falling on flat surfaces
The Run Down:
The most important update, in my eyes, is the new Region Selector. If you have been playing Fall Guys you probably have noticed a lot of lag issues such as not being able to grab ledges, other players, grabbed from long distances or getting knocked by invisible players. This was especially infuriating on the Tail Tag level and Wall Guys. Now with region selector those issues appear to be mostly minimized when you select your appropriate region whereas previous you might have wound up in a region where your ping would be quite high. This alone makes the game a lot more fun and playable.
Next up we have the new level Big Fans. It is a fairly simple level with a simple design. Featuring slowly moving circular platforms which are separated into eights with every other one missing. It gets complicated when you are weaving in and out of the available areas with multiple other players, but overall is a quite easy map once you get the hang of it. Nonetheless it is fairly fun and new content is always nice.
There is also a new naming system for the PC. This system randomly generates names with a sort of Ad-Lib style system combining 3 words in Adjective Adjective Noun format. It may take a while to generate one that is to your liking as the randomizer is quite slow, however, once you find a good name it is much better than a random number.
The rest of the notes are mostly bug fixes or small quality of life fixes which don't require much explanation.
Overall this patch was very much welcomed improvements to Fall Guys!
TL;DR: Region selector is great at reducing frustrating laggy games, new naming system is an improvement and the new map and variety added to others is pretty nice.
