Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, the popular video game that captures the essence of paranormal busting, is about to get a lot spookier with its latest update. Fans of the game are in for a treat as the menacing ghost known as Samhain makes his bone-chilling debut.
Samhain, a powerful and ancient spirit, has long been associated with the Halloween season and the Celtic festival that bears his name. Player’s may recognize the purple robe, long claws and orange hands which is the way Samhain was portrayed in the animated show ‘The Real Ghostbusters’. With his arrival in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, players will face their most challenging spectral adversary yet. The update also teases the game’s release on Nintendo Switch as well as something called the “Ecto Edition”.
It’s unclear if Samhain will be a playable ghost or be the main focus in the game’s story mode, which left us with a cliffhanger when the game originally released in October. In addition to the “Ecto Edition” update, it’s safe to say that the game will also receive various quality-of-life improvements and additional content. This can include new equipment upgrades, character customization options, and multiplayer maps.
