Twitter ripped off Snapchat

Twitter fleets are a poor ripoff of Snapchat stories.

Pharaoh721

Roughly 7 years ago, Snapchat changed the social media game when they introduced a platform centered around stories, images or messages that were publicly viewable and would self-delete after 24 hours. A couple years ago, Instagram shamelessly stole the idea when they added Instagram stories. Now, Twitter is putting their own spin on the rip off with Fleets. Unfortunately, Twitter's version of "stories" is undoubtedly the worst of the three.

I just do not understand the point of stories or fleets or whatever else they're called. I'm all for ephemeral art, but why do I need it in my social media apps? Why are we getting all Mission Impossible up in here with self-destructing messages?
