Giant Sparrow’s upcoming first-person narrative game What Remains of Edith Finch is scheduled for an April 25 release on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. Published by Annapurna Interactive, this collection of off-kilter plot threads surrounding a family nestled in Washington State seeks to offer an intriguing yet unsettling look through the skeletons in one clan’s closet.

Players take up the role as Edith, who finds herself investigating the enormous Finch house as she tries to piece together why she’s somehow the only one of her family line still living. Not only will Edith learn how her family members died, but she’ll experience it as well. That means the game puts players in Edith’s shoes as she experiences the life of various family members on the day that each of them died, spread out all over the timeline from in the past all the way up to the present.

You’ll be able to partake in the weirdness next month as the game launches as part of Sony’s Play Collective initiative alongside other titles like Everything, PaRappa the Rapper Remastered, and Full Throttle Remastered. It’s shaping up to be an amazing month for games.
