Just Cause 3's multiplayer mod has entered public beta, according to an announcement by the development team Nanos Framework (via Overclock 3D).

"Exactly one year after the initial development blog on JC3:MP we are now finally able to ship our very first public version," per Nanos' announcement. "After hours and hours of developing, testing and keeping all of you up to date we are extremely happy to celebrate this release with you."

A trailer accompanies the team's announcement, showing off features such as PVP combat, the ability for players to interact with vehicles, and parachute and wingsuit customization.

In developing the mod, Nanos received support from Just Cause 3 publisher Square Enix and developer Avalanche Studios.

Nanos shepherded the mod to public beta almost one year after its initial proclamation of the mod's development in early 2016, just a few months after Just Cause 3's release in the fall of 2015. The team isn't done yet. Future additions span the option to change the player-character model and improvements to weapon synchronization.

"Last but not least we would like to thank the whole community for their patience and passion: Seeing you guys always eagerly waiting for the next devblog on Discord shows some real dedication towards our project and kept us going forward even in the harder weeks and months of development."
