The Last Guardian releases next week for PlayStation 4 after numerous delays. If you can't stand to wait a minute longer to feast your eyes on the finished product, Sony uploaded the first nine minutes of gameplay to its Japanese PlayStation YouTube account (via GameZone).

Sony's video doesn't reveal anything juicy. You'll see the boy set his creature companion free, after which the new BFFs navigate a few puzzles and other obstacles.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) Japan and genDESIGN announced The Last Guardian at E3 2006. It was directed by Fumito Ueda and slated for PS3 as a spiritual successor to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

The Last Guardian suffered so many delays that many feared it might became vaporware, but SIE Japan and genDESIGN soldiered on, shepherding development onto PS4. It comes out on December 6.
