Pokemon Go update datamine reveals Generation 2 monsters are coming soon

Generation 2 Pokemon, like Ditto, are coming to Pokemon Go soon, according to information discovered by data miners.

Pokemon Go players will soon be able to capture Generation 2 Pokemon, including the ever-elusive Ditto, as data miners have discovered new features for the popular mobile game.

According to information found in the Android version of Pokemon Go v0.45.0, a new Transform move will be introduced, which hints at Ditto’s inclusion along with 100 new Pokemon, 52 new Pokemon families, a new lockout system which puts a stop to constantly attempting to take over a gym, and daily quests.

Niantic has been delivering regular updates to Pokemon Go, even hosting its first special in-game event to celebrate Halloween. While some players may have moved on from the game, adding Generation 2 Pokemon should hopefully lure them back.

I uninstalled it... the speed cap they introduced with the last patch basically made it impossible to play. I would have it open while running usually to hatch eggs and get candy for buddy pokemon.

I think my GPS is crazy inaccurate or something but it would speed lock me while I was running.. wouldn't track any progress or let me interact with Pokestops. Word is they added a speed cap of 5-6mph on in game actions.

Not sure of that. My wife and I would drive under 20mph and still hatch a good sized egg

But hey, at least they finally fixed gym sniping, right? Right??

I'm impressed: Niantic singlehandedly destroyed its own blockbuster game

They've had a lot of practice refining their technique on ingress.
