King Art Games and artist Jakub Rozalski have announced a new real-time strategy game for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One called Iron Harvest.

Iron Harvest takes place in an alternate version of the 1920s where mankind has built powerful walking machines, born from their fascination with technology, engines, and iron. These machines were originally constructed as weapons on the battlefields of the Great War, although now they’re considered to be a part of everyday living.

“We love games like Company of Heroes or Men at War and want to bring a similar gameplay experience to this fantastic world Jakub created,” Jan Theysen, project lead at KING Art Games explains.

Players will lead hero characters, mechs, and soldiers into battle, with both cover mechanics and dynamic destruction playing a major role in combat. Squads will automatically take cover, although they’ll only offer protection for so long, especially against mech-mounted cannons.

Iron Harvest is currently in development and is scheduled to launch in 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
