Pokémon Go's daily bonuses entice players to play regularly

Bonuses take many forms, such as performing specific quests.

Niantic published a blog explaining daily bonuses, a forthcoming feature designed to keep Pokemon Go coming back to catch em all and then some.

"Trainers will soon be able to receive a bonus for certain daily activities, including catching a Pokemon or visiting a PokéStop once a day," the developer explained. "You’ll earn a larger bonus if you do this seven days in a row."

As a way to engage players, the tasks go beyond surface-level requirements like opening the app every so often.

  • Catching a Pokemon will net you 500 XP and 600 Stardust
  • Catch Pokemon for seven days straight to receive 2000 XP and 2400 Stardust
  • Make daily visits to PokeStops, and spinning the Photo Disc, adds 500 XP and an assortment of extra items to your inventory
  • Hit up a PokeStop every day for seven consecutive days, and you'll earn 2000 XP and even more items

"If you catch a Pokemon at any time on Tuesday local time, you’ll be eligible for the next daily bonus on Wednesday at 12 AM local time," Niantic wrote.
