Overwatch's Sombra possibly leaked ahead of official reveal

Some official artwork for what appears to be Sombra has leaked ahead of her official reveal, which we suspect will occur during BlizzCon 2016.

Overwatch fans have been longing to learn more about the mysterious character known as “Sombra.” We’ve been keeping tabs on her possible reveal for several months now, but it appears Blizzard Entertainment may have possibly revealed the shadow we’ve all been chasing sine Overwatch released.

Some newly-discovered artwork for Sombra popped up on Blizzard’s official digital storefront, which was signed by an artist that works as part of the Overwatch team. The image shows a woman standing on top of what appears to be large, robotic hands as she wraps purple beams around them. What kind of ability this hints at is unknown at this time, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up being an image of her ultimate ability.

The leaked artwork lines up with previous leaks of Sombra, which shows a woman wearing a purple coat, purple and white highlights in her hair, and purple gloves while holding an SMG.

With BlizzCon 2016 taking place this weekend, we think this would be the perfect time for Blizzard Entertainment to reveal Sombra. Fans of the studio will certainly be keeping an eye on the show, and we’ll be covering the show as news comes out. If Sombra is announced, we’ll be one of the first to report it.

Seems fairly obvious they plan for sombra to interrupt blizzcon intro or something given all the backstory for the character.

It would be one thing if it was a full game but this is ridiculous for one character in a shooter.

all they had was a few hidden websites with no official announcements or anything. it's nerds on internet forums who got hyped and made it a bigger deal than it really was

Nerds are nerds but you can't drag them along on an extensive and way drawn out arg like that

That's the issue, they strung fans along for a long time with ARGs and they never actually intended to reveal anything that way, which is obviously what the fans who participated were looking for.

Except all the gaming blogs have been posting about it once they picked it up for the nerds. This is cockteasing overkill.
