Designer Ramone Russell of Sony San Diego announced that Ken Griffey Jr. will grace the cover of MLB The Show 17 (via USgamer).

"Almost twenty years since his last appearance in a baseball video game, Ken Griffey Jr. returns to the digital diamond as the cover athlete of MLB The Show 17," wrote Sony San Diego game designer and senior community specialist Ramone Russell in a PlayStation Blog update.

MLB The Show 17 launches in March 2017, and comes in a variety of editions. The most expensive but snazzy version is The Hall of Fame Edition. At $99.99, it comes in a case that resembles Griffey's jersey. The MVP Edition gets you the collectible case, but with fewer frills.

There will also be a Digital Deluxe Edition priced at $99.99.
