Nintendo Switch—the console/handheld hybrid formerly codenamed "NX"—will launch in March 2017, as confirmed by Nintendo's teaser reveal earlier this morning.

A financial report obtained earlier this year from Nintendo indicated next March as a release date, but this morning's trailer provided confirmation directly from the company.

As reported, the Nintendo Switch takes the form of a tablet-like device with detachable peripherals. You dock the system on a station to play on your TV, and remove it to play games on the go.

I am impressed by that launch date. That's pretty awesome. I hope the price is right. Is this going to be $299, $349, or $399? Will Zelda be a pack in game? Will it include the pro controller? Also, is that screen touch capable? I realized after watching the trailer that I never saw anyone use a stylus or touch the screen with a finger.

There's a button on the menu that will summon a parent or designated guardian to come take care of your mess.
