Activision sent out a tweet announcing that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's beta will begin preloading on PS4 tomorrow afternoon "around" 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern. You'll have roughly 24 hours to get the beta installed before this weekend's exclusive play session.

Only customers who preordered Infinite Warfare are eligible to participate in the beta, and only on PS4 this time around. Another beta scheduled for October 21 welcomes both PS4 and Xbox One owners.

Unlike their last head-to-head clash in 2013, Call of Duty's and Battlefield's latest installments are heading in opposite directions. Infinite Warfare features futuristic weapons and settings, while EA's Battlefield 1 roots itself in the history of "the Great War," World War I.

Sweeting the deal, every copy of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's premium editions will ship with a copy of Modern Warfare Remastered, a gussied-up HD port of 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. You'll need Infinite Warfare's disc inserted to play MW Remastered if you go with a physical edition, though.
