The Division 1.4 update will support vanity item previews

Want to try before you buy? The Division's 1.4 update will make it so.

Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment are hard at work on The Division’s upcoming 1.4 update, one of which was shared on its State of the Game stream earlier today.

The State of the Game stream highlighted a new feature that will allow Agents the opportunity to preview any vanity items prior to purchasing them. This will help Agents who are trying to go for the perfect look to be able to check out their gear prior to making their official purchase.

While this isn’t exactly an update that will blow the flood gates open to bring back all players to The Division, it’s something long-time fans of the game will certainly appreciate.

Are there any changes you’re hoping will be made available in the 1.4 update? Feel free to let us know in the Chatty.

Reading up on this 1.4 update it looks pretty awesome. Stuff to do outside the DZ, properly tiered incursion difficulties, the non-DZ map will now scale to whatever difficulty you desire, gear is actually aquireable now, weapons will do damage, armor will mitigate damage.

Too bad no one plays it anymore.

your last line is true. Up until I saw the OP I had completely forgotten I even own the game.

Yeah, I haven't touched it for months. Might fire it up and see how it goes when this update hits.

They really pushed this game out the door far too early, and repeated the mistakes of Destiny and Diablo 3 for months after launch plus a few unique flaws specific to The Division.

The horrific grind and terrible economy made the end game a chore, and the first few rounds of updates were incredibly flawed. The first incursion was a new high mark for worst content in an ARPG or MMO, and actively making players current gear worse instead of giving them a new carrot to chase was very frustrating and not fun.

Everything can one shot you and the floor is lava is not fun, period.

Yea that Falcon Lost instance was the worst from any game I can remember and it was universally agreed upon as just plain awful.

Game got to the point that it was painfully clear that the devs and designers did not play the game and no feedback was taken into consideration. They killed it horribly.

I still play it, but for PVP only pretty much. There's a small number of hardcore players left.

I still play it for PvE in Underground and random Incursions and stuff. Really looking forward to this update!

Pvp is a roll fest. It's horrible.

Nah, it's a lot more complicated than that. The rollfests where in the older versions when no one knew how to to builds and skills properly.
Now it's more about busing certain OP combinations of skills and builds.

I just started playing it co-op with a couple friends, enjoying it. I dislike PvP so the Dark Zone and player population doesn't concern me that much, but the expansion packs look promising.

This is the game that put it in my mind to never buy Ubisoft and to never preorder. I bought the season pass unfortunately but fuck this developer. They are so incompetent and there are better games to be played. Yes I'm mad.

I haven't touched it in months. One of these days I'll get back to it.

I really enjoyed the single player including story. Then I went into the DZ. Initially it was very fun, but the cheats I couldn't handle so ended up uninstalling the game. Kind of reminded me of my Diablo days, but back then you had to use trainers to defend yourself from cheaters.

Too many new games coming out in the next few weeks for me to be bothered to go back. Really shouldn't have bought the season pass.
