We wouldn't want to be invited over to the Bakers' for supper. That's all we're saying.

Capcom has released a new trailer for Resident Evil 7 as well as revealing an update to its  Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour demo is now available to check out.

The new trailer for Resident Evil 7 gives us a peek at what we can expect from the full game, which all starts off with a mysterious recorded message. The message is addressed to the game’s main protagonist, Ethan, from a mysterious woman who confirms she did, indeed, lie to him. “All I can say is that if you get this, stay away,” is one very distinct warning the woman tells Ethan in the message.

As you can expect, Ethan does not stay away and ends up being captured at some point in the trailer, to then experience quite the memorable feast with the Baker family.

As for the Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour demo, Capcom has released a new Twilight update for it that will make it available for all PlayStation 4 owners, rather than only being available for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

In addition to the trailer and updated demo, Capcom has some new information regarding its digital deluxe version. Instead of offering the game and a season pass that will offer two additional story episodes for $79.99, the publisher will now offer three additional story episodes as part of its digital deluxe version, but will increase its price to $89.99. Those who already pre-ordered the digital deluxe version won’t have to pay more, though, and will be receiving the additional story for free.

Resident Evil 7 will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017.
