Level-5 announced Lady Layton yesterday during its Vision 2016 event, and while we knew it was going to be released in Japan in Spring 2017, we didn’t know if the title would make its way to the West. Good news, Professor Layton fans. Lady Layton is expected to get a Western release sometime in 2017.

The title will be called Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy and will star Katrielle Layton as well as a number of new characters. The upcoming Lady Layton title will focus less on dynamic problem-solving and more on attempting to solve multiple mystery cases. Level-5 hopes this will bring a faster tempo to the story as well as a more comical tone to the iconic series.

Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy is now scheduled to release on the Nintendo 3DS, iOS, and Android in 2017. For those wondering how it will look on mobile, here’s a screenshot of the game running on both the 3DS and an Android device.
