Battlefield 4's 'Final Stand' DLC free on all platforms until May 24

Final Stand includes four maps and loads of new weapons.

Battlefield 4's Final Stand expansion retails for $14.99—or at least it did, until EA made it free on all Xbox, PlayStation, and PC digital platforms until next Tuesday, May 24.

Originally included in Battlefield 4's $50 Season Pass, Final Stand includes four maps set in snowy vistas, plus high-tech weapons and gadgets.

Final Stand is one in a line of DLC packs that EA is giving away for free as part of its "Road to Battlefield 1" program to promote the upcoming WWI-themed first-person shooter. Battlefield 4's Dragon's Teeth expansion was free earlier this month, as was Battlefield Hardline's Robbery pack.

More DLC will be available at no cost down the road as we get closer to Battlefield 1's October release date.
