Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster coming to Steam this week

PC gamers can finally take to the blitzball field on May 12.

Looks like Tidus's blitzball field sprung a leak: Square Enix slipped a Steam page for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster on Steam. The package deal will unlock on May 12, this Thursday.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster "celebrates two of the most cherished and beloved entries to the world-renowned franchise," per the game's Steam page. Besides characters, backgrounds, and other visual assets given an HD coat of paint, the PC version will include a rearranged soundtrack and content from international editions of the game previously only available in Europe and Japan.

Plenty of Steam-specific bells and whistles will be on hand, too. Each game includes achievements, cloud backups for saves, and Steam trading cards.

Recommended specs include a 2.4 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, a semi-modern GeForce or Radeon card, and roughly 40 GB of space on your hard drive.

Same here. I stopped playing them after the SNES ones, and later entries being available on PC is tempting me to play catch-up.

This is far from my favorite FF game, but I sure as hell will buy it again.

I remember the game being pretty decent, but that was when the character design went completely off the deep end. Some of those costume designs were an eyesore.

X definitely has my least-favorite character outfits in the entire series.

Lol good luck getting LuLu's celestial weapon unless they changed the game that shit is impossible on ps4. I did it on ps2 and that was a miracle.

impossible because of the input lag on LCDs

Yeah input lag fucks you. I think you can still stand in the rock waiting for the lightning bolt in distance but still not worth the effort :( hopefully the PC version would allow you to mod/alter to get it.

There's a spot you can exploit. From what I hear, it's pretty easy (but still requires the patience to do it).

Um, ok! I may actually buy this just because of my "I wonder what this would look like on PC" fetish.

      Goofy game, but not un-fun.

I'd buy this in a second of it were 60fps. I'm guessing not though.
