Technically a 2.5D RPG beat-em-up, Dungeon Punks is being developed by indie dev Hyper Awesome Entertainment LLC, and will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this summer. Attendees of PAX East will get a chance to go hands-on with the game at Booth #11233.

Dungeon Punks is being designed with the goal of combining mechanics from RPGs and old-school brawlers, but Hyper Awesome co-founder Dan Goldstein bills the game's tag-team mechanics as its main draw. "The tag-team part of Dungeon Punks really sets the game apart with uniquely equipped heroes that work as a team to create fun and devastating combos. In the end, Dungeon Punks feels like playing a Street Fighter RPG," said Goldstein in a press release.

The game supports one to three players, and gives each player control of two heroes. There are six heroes total, each possessing class-specific moves. You'll be able to play Dungeon Punks locally or with AI partners, conquering "tons" of dungeons loaded with traps, monsters, and quests.
