Report: Batman Arkham HD Collection leaked

Apparently it will not include Arkham Origins.

10

A apparent leak from a GameStop employee seems to indicate that Warner Bros. is planning an HD collection for the Batman Arkham franchise that would include a remaster of the first two games and all the DLC.

The leak (via Eurogamer) shows that the Return to Arkham collection would include Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, visually optimized for the Xbox One and PS4. Pre-orders, according to the image, are supposed to begin tomorrow, with the game's release coming on June 10. The supports an earlier report that the compilation was being planned.

If accurate, the collection would only cover Rocksteady's games, and not included Batman: Arkham Origins from Warner Bros. Montreal studio.

We have reached out to Warner Bros. for comment and will update if they respond.

I really think that Origins is the best game in that series after Asylum.

origins had some really fantastic story-work in it, but gameplay wise it's a complete retread of Arkham City.

What are you talking about? They all have pretty much the exact same gameplay elements with the exception of Arkham Knight which added that dreadful Batmobile.

Personally,I liked Origins the best as well, but I thought the story of Knight was the best, mainly because of the Joker.

I just finishing AA and AC recently on the PC. AC is a really good looking game with full DX11 enabled.

Guessing after the mess with AK on the pc, there's no chance we'll get this for the PC. Sucks too. I was going back to AA a few months back. The game itself holds up really well. Just that the visuals are getting a bit muddy by today's standards. I'd probably pay some decent coin to get a full HD remake.

I thought about this, then wondered what an "HD" collection could add to the PC versions. Those games still look top notch. The collection might end up enabling graphical bells and whistles from the PC versions that the 360 and PS3 couldn't handle at the time.

Mostly for AA it would be higher res textures and maybe some higher poly counts on some world objects.

They announced this last year; it was originally slated for Christmas 2015. But I'm guessing they decided to lay low for a while after the disaster that was PC Arkham Knight.

My bad, it was rumored last year, not actually announced.

I just learned that the Volume 2 of the Arkham Knight OST has been out for some time. I remember it wasn't early on and never saw it. Just decided to listen to Vol 1 again and curiosity got me to look and low and behold.
