Former Burnout devs announce Burnout-esque Golf game

Dangerous Golf is to golf what Burnout was to simulation driving games.

Three Fields Entertainment, which is comprised of ex-Burnout dev members, have announced a new game that appears to combine the insanity of the Burnout series with golf, called Dangerous Golf.

Dangerous Golf is described as a “serious golf game as Burnout was a serious simulation to driving games.” The title is an irreverent, silly, fun approach to golf games that will challenge players to break the rules and wreak havoc across over 100 holes across four locations you wouldn’t expect to play golf. Players can expect a series of elaborate indoor and outdoor locations, including a hotel kitchen, a palace ballroom, a rural gas station and a medieval castle.

Dangerous Golf will include turn-based play in both online and offline multiplayer and rewards players based on their destruction, so the more creative your shots, the better. You'll be playing for a dollar damage as your high score and also be rewarded for destroying stuff through the help of turning your golf ball into a bomb, to then set off its SmashBreaker. The destructive powers of the ball increases as the ball "heats up."

Dangerous Golf will be available to download on the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam in May 2016.
