Star Wars 1313 concept art sparks interest in possible revival from Lucasfilm

Lucasfilm sounds like it's certainly interested in bringing back Star Wars 1313.

Lucasfilm producer and president Kathleen Kennedy has revealed the company is still considering working on Star Wars 1313 some time in the future.

In an interview with Slash Film, Kennedy discussed some leftover projects from the George Lucas era, which included a live-action Star Wars television series and the cancelled Star Wars 1313. “... our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold,” she said when the interviewer discussed the Star Wars 1313 concept art. “And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.”

Star Wars 1313 was one of the unfortunate casualties from Disney acquiring Lucasfilm and stopping all of its current projects. While this doesn’t at all confirm Star Wars 1313 is receiving a revival, this is certainly a step in the right direction towards it.

Good. What little we saw of 1313 looked very promising. A journey to the seedy underside of coruscant. But not the neon coated midlevels that sell pansy assed deathsticks.... The DIRTY levels.

Wow, with Ep. 7 coming I totally forgot that they had designs for something to come to television.

Yeah, it's weird, I had totally forgotten about it as well. Until recently I had been excited by that idea for years and it sounded fairly definite that it would happen.
