Shack Reels: Shack's Arcade Corner: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is one of Capcom's quirkiest, yet extremely addictive, experimental games using its iconic Street Fighter characters.

Last week’s Shack’s Arcade Corner got crazy. Some might say a little too crazy as we highlighted Sega’s Crazy Taxi. For this week, we take a slightly less crazy approach to our Arcade Corner by featuring Capcom’s Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo smashed its way into arcades in 1998 and offered a unique experience to the classic Street Fighter franchise: a head-to-head puzzle combat game. In this addictive match-3, players would match gems in order to inflict damage to their opponents. It may not sound as exhilarating as Street Fighter, but trust us: it’s an awesome arcade game.
