Profiles ep 01: Logitech & The Artemis Spectrum Series

Welcome to Profiles, an all-new video series in which we go behind-the-scenes with the developers, designers, and industry professionals behind some of the biggest channels of gaming. For our pilot episode, Shacknews visits with the engineers at Logitech.

It's often all too easy to forget that behind the games, hardware, and various products that fill our living rooms, offices, and "man caves," there are real people behind all of those things. These people have stories of their own, tales of struggle, perseverance, and triumph. Shacknews would like to make an effort to get to know the people behind the various channels of gaming and to do so, we are launching an all-new video series called Profiles.

Join our Shacknews video team as they put a spotlight on the faces behind some of the names in game development, hardware creation, and the video game industry as a whole. For our first episode, meet some of the faces behind Logitech, which includes Gaming VP/GM Ujesh Desai, Global Product Manager Doug Sharp, Senior Acoustical Systems Engineers Tracy Wick and Matt Green, and a host of others.

The folks at Logitech discuss the new G633 and G933 Artemis Spectrum line of headphones, as we go behind-the-scenes and look into their design and creation.

I'm pretty interested in these. My G930s must be like 6 years old by now and the ear pads are starting to flake. I'm sure I could just buy replacements but NEW GEAR!!!

Really cool format; I especially appreciated the access to the full interviews after the video.

We didn't want a knee jerk reaction after having just been invited to their facility. I have been putting the headset through some hell this week and wanted to see how it performed. I also haven't had hands on the wireless headset extensively either.

Impressions coming soon, this is the first time we have had this much access to hardware on the video side of things and we wanted to get the coverage and the feel right.

Please test them in wifi dense areas, I'm hoping they rock at higher power on transmitter and receiver.

I love my G930 headset but they hurt sometimes due to interference in the 2.4ghz range. I sometimes consider putting up microwave screen on a few walls, because they're otherwise great.
