Microsoft has begun to roll out a new software update for its Xbox One that will prepare the console to receive its major UI overhaul.

There doesn’t appear to be much outside of preparing the console for its future UI changes, although we can also expect a fix for party chat issues to be made available in today’s firmware version 6.2.13326.0.

The new UI is expected to be released for Xbox One Preview members some time this fall, and later releasing to the rest of the Xbox One community. The new UI is said to be 50% faster than the current one as it allows you to easily access a number of features with very few button presses.

To learn more about the upcoming UI, check out the following video from Microsoft that highlights much of the changes.
