Destiny The Taken King weapons highlighted in Bungie weekly update

Bungie has offered a small preview of some of the weapons we can expect to be available in Destiny's The Taken King expansion.

Bungie’s weekly update is once again focusing on Destiny’s The Taken King expansion, and this time, the developer is offering a preview of some of the new weapons Guardians can expect to wield.

The preview highlights a small collection of weapons from the Hakke, Omolon, and Suros lines that range from scout rifles, hand cannons, sniper rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, and pulse rifles. This preview doesn’t cover the entire product line any of these virtual manufacturers have to offer as Bungie community manager David Dague explains. “We’re holding back a number of armament categories for you to discover for yourself as the Taken War escalates. The models you’re looking at will seed a vast array of options you’ll use to equip your Guardian.”

"There will be more choices than ever to arm yourself in the Tower,” he adds. “Factions will have their own guns. Classes will have their own guns.  More Quests will lead you directly to specific guns. Even the Gunsmith will have a new way to include you in his enterprise.”

Bungie appears to be going all out for The Taken King, and based on our interview with Luke Timmins at E3, we can't help but be just a little bit excited for its release on September 15.

      Those Omolon weapons look sweet. Also I like their philosophy: Experimental, bordering on irresponsible

      I hope TTK goes more along the lines of borderlands with distinguished weapons from different manufacturers that all have their own unique twists.

        my problem is that I got the MIDA Multi-Tool and find it hard to use anything else

          I been trying to find a build around the universal remote but the low ammo and reload time makes it hard.

              Haven't fully upgraded yet to the remote perk.

              but it isn't special enough to balance the various compromises that come with it.

              Any of the high impact shotguns with shot package will do most of the same work as Universal Remote. The bonus precision damage is kinda nice in PvE, but there are better options.

                I wish they would bring back shot package for UR because it was truly exotic before the nerf.
