E3 2015: Kingdom Hearts Unchained X tells its story on iPhone, Android

Square Enix has unveiled Kingdom Hearts Unchained X exclusively for iPhone and Android devices.

Square Enix has announced a new Kingdom Hearts game that's been developed exclusively for mobile called Kingdom Hearts Unchained X.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained X will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases when it releases in North America. Players will uncover story elements from Kingdom Hearts' earlier portions as well as some from the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. For the first time in the Kingdom Hearts series history, players will be able to create their own Keyblade wielder to adventure through Disney worlds with a stylized art style that reminds us of Square Enix’s Theatrhythm series. Players can collect, fuse, and evolve items to customize their Keyblade attacks, team up with other players in guilds, and more. The combination of the new Avatar system and diverse outfit selection make this one of the most personalized Kingdom Hearts experiences to date.

Character costumes can be created based on seasonal events and Disney themes, as well as some based on popular Final Fantasy characters.
