The Simpsons, Portal, Jurassic World inclusion in Lego Dimensions leaked

A number of new Lego Dimensions packs have been leaked by Walmart, which incudes The Simpsons, Jurassic World, and more.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Travelers Tales announced they’d be getting in on the toys-to-life category of games with Lego Dimensions last month. Lego Dimensions would blend together a variety of Lego Universes together, which will include The Lord of the Rings, DC Comics, Back to the Future, and more. Over the weekend, Walmart leaked packs for The Simpsons, Portal, Jurassic World, Chima, and Scooby Doo are in the works.

The Walmart listing showed both Jurassic World and Scooby Doo would be released as team packs, while The Simpsons and Portal will be released as level packs. None of these listings offered any images as they appeared to be placeholders for when WBIE makes its official announcement surrounding these packs.

The Lego brand has always encompassed a wide variety of sources as there’s pretty much a Lego set of anything that is popular enough. With these leaked packs, it appears Lego Dimensions will attempt to be as diverse as real-world Lego sets have been over the years, and if Travelers Tales is able to deliver yet another worthwhile Lego video game experience, Activision and Disney Interactive could be in some serious trouble after Dimensions is released.

Man these things are going to cost so much. For someone who loves the mini vehicle builds and minifigures and has zero interest in the games, some of the exclusives (Portal, Wizard of Oz, and goodies like the BTTF hoverboard, Unikitty's Cuckoo Car, Ww's Invisible Jet), buying 3-4 sets would cost you the same as a big Lego set would cost. That's fucking nuts.
