Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 teases Advanced Warfare-like futuristic setting

A new teaser video has been released for Black Ops 3, and we're getting a serious case of Advanced Warfare deja vu.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will premiere on Sunday, and today, Activision has released a new teaser for the game entitled “Ember.”

The trailer starts off with the quote “Mankind’s greatest mistake will be its inability to control the technology it has created,” then takes us through a number of recent advances in technology and looks into our future. Basketball leagues with modified players, a gold medalist runner with prosthetic legs, and networked brain-to-brain connections are just some of the advancements. Unfortunately, war erupts as those without enhancements rise up against those that do, as well as manufacturers of these enhancements.

Judging by the teaser video, it appears Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 may follow in the footsteps of Advanced Warfare by taking place in the future where cybernetics and augmented humans not only dominate on the battlefield, but also in other aspects across the world. We guess we'll find out what exactly will be going on in Black Ops 3 when it officially premieres on April 26.

Please please please no double jump. Advanced Warfare was fucking retarded because of it.

I thought the Exo suit was awesome and a great addition. I'm surprised so many people hate it considering they have an entire set of playlists that lets you play without it.

I wouldn't call it an entire set of playlists. More like 3 or 4 modes only.

Also the maps are made for Exo. Disabling it bring other problems

"was"? I thought that it was the current COD everyone is playing? Seriously, isn't it like 4 months old?

Took about 3 months for it to drop below Black Ops 2 numbers on Steam. http://steamcharts.com/cmp/209660,209170,202990#3m

Yeah, a lot of people gave up and went back to Blops II. As a diehard CoD fan and slightly above average player, the jetpack shit was AWFUL. Map knowledge, movement awareness and strategy went out the window when you could literally spam any direction, spray and pray and hope for kills. That's also why you see FAR fewer killstreaks in AW as well. It rewarded shitty play and made it harder for good players to make an impact.

Well...the CoD franchise is not precisely the pinnacle of creativity effort; they started cloning MoH, then Battlefield 2, now, without any shame they clone the idea of Deus Ex, whatever it works and mantain the franchise alive ... the next game probably would be a Final Fantasy clone

So, it's people with Google glass vs. people stuck on their smartphones.

Soooo Deus Ex. Then the next one is Terminator: Future Shock. Then what?
