DogStar VR has announced the debut trailer of The Alterverse Project, which is touted as being a part-MMO, part-content creation kit, and part VR universe.

The Alterverse Project has been built from the ground up for Oculus Rift and other VR devices that provides players with new worlds to inhabit, explore, and compete for ownership. Players would need to choose a home world to launch their own moddable Realm Server within that world’s theme, or go directly to your home world to join others in-game. You’ll have the power to sculpt the terrain, construct homes, forts, and settlements as you raise livestock, craft tools and weapons, hunt animals, and explore uncharted regions.

The Alterverse Project features PVP, PVE, and RVR, creating alliances, bounties that can be set on your opponents, avatar customization, in-game voice chat, and various methods of combat that includes melee, 2-handed, dual-wielding, bows and mounted.

There's no word on when the Alterverse Project will be released, but we'll be sure to keep an eye on the game considering it's one of the first MMOs we've heard of for VR.
