For this week's edition of Shack's Arcade Korner, Greg Burke tests his might by looking at the 1992 fighting game classic, Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat X is coming next week and will bring all of the ultraviolence that NetherRealm has become known for. And yes, it is a label that the developer has proudly carried, going all the way back to the original Mortal Kombat.

And speaking of the original Mortal Kombat, that's the subject of this week's Shack's Arcade Korner. Yes, we take a trip back to 1992 and look back at the days of primitive 16-bit graphics and even more primitive 16-bit violence. Greg Burke brings you all of the klassic action and fatalities that will have you wondering, "How did people possibly get up in arms over this?"

Same here. I'm starting to get giddy the way I did a week or two out from console releases of MK ports back in the '90s.
