Chattycast 40: The Snackycast

In which the gang finally just embraces that it's basically a food podcast now.

2

This week, the gang pulls themselves away from the cream-filled eggs long enough to talk about snack foods, beloved but obscure games, franchises destined for VR, app-augmented board games, and the resurgence of deathmatch-style multiplayer games like Unreal Tournament.

Thanks as always to those who provided our topic suggestions this week: the man with the briefcase, DozIR, Hemtroll, and filthysock. If you want see your name in lights, keep an eye on Chatty to suggest topics! And, special thanks to Chatty user dael for contributing music to the show, and to Bryan "Doctor Games" Carr for production assistance.

Off-Topic: If you could only have one snack food for the rest of your life (you can still eat different things for regular meals) what would that panultimate snack be?
Segment 1: Do you have a love for a fairly unknown game that you never get to talk about with anyone because, somehow, no one has heard of it for reasons unknown to you?
Segment 2: What franchise would you love to play in a "made for VR" game?
Segment 3: Do you think there is a future for board games with companion apps? Can you think of any board games that are out now that could be improved by the inclusion of an app?
Segment 4: Can you discuss the new Unreal Tournament and the general resurgence of this genre of games?
