Battlefield Hardline suffers DDoS attack on launch day

Did you have issues playing Battlefield Hardline yesterday? You're not alone as the game was the victim of a DDoS attack.

Battlefield Hardline was released yesterday, and if you found it difficult to play it last night, you’re not alone. According to the official Battlefield Hardline Twitter account, last night’s connectivity issues were a result of a DDoS attack.

The DDoS attack was carried out against the Xbox One version of Battlefield Hardline, so those who played on the PlayStation 4 and PC were most likely unaffected by the attack. As of now, no hacker group has come forward as being the ones responsible for the DDoS attack.

This isn’t the first time an EA-published game suffered a DDoS attack as Battlefield 4 suffered similar attacks late last year.

As of early this morning, Visceral Games has said they’re working on resolving the issue. So if you’re playing Hardline on Xbox One today, you’ll need to be a little more patient than usual in order to play it.
