Acer is announcing the launch of new V Nitro Black Edition notebooks, which will now offer the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M GPU among other things.

The V Nitro Black Edition line of notebook PCs are designed for gaming and other graphic intensive applications, such as photo/video editing and 3D modeling. It features a 4th-generation Intel Core i7-4710HQ quad-core processor, 802.11ac, four built-in speakers with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater support, a backlit keyboard, and a panel imprint technology called the soft-touch NIL.

Now, let’s get into what specific models feature. First, we’ll start with the Nitro V 15 VN7-591G-729V. The Nitro V 15 features a 15.6-inch 4K Ultra HD display that supports a resolution of 3840 x 2160. The GeForce GTX 960M GPU is also able to support high-resolution displays. I couldn’t find it listed on Acer’s website, although these three seem to be the only models that feature a 4K display.

The Nitro V 17 VN7-791G-79RV features a 17.3-inch Full HD display that supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080, an Intel Core i7-4720HQ quad-core processor, a 3D camera, an 8X DVD drive, a 1TB HDD & 256GB SSD drive, 16GB DDR3L SDRAM, and includes Acer DustDefender, which is a unique dust removal system that uses a high-speed fan to remove dust build-up. It also has SD card support, a Gigabit Ethernet port, 2x USB 3.0 ports, 2x USB 2.0 ports, and an HDMI-out port. As for battery, it comes with a 3-cell Lithium ion 4450 mAh battery.

The Acer V Nitro Black Edition will be available this month in the US at Newegg, Microsoft Stores and Micro Center with more retailers to follow starting at $1,099.99.
