Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls announced for Vita

A new Danganronpa game is headed to the US this fall, and Monokuma has never looked so evil.

NIS America has announced it will be bringing another game in the Danganronpa series to the US, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. The game will be making its way to the PlayStation Vita later this fall.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will be a departure from the other Danganronpa titles as it won’t be a visual novel, instead it’ll be a third-person horror adventure game. Players will take control of both Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa as they battle a group of children called the Warriors of Hope. The group attempts to cleanse the city of all adults, and attempts to do so through the use of Monokumas.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will feature a number of Truth Bullets that can be used, such as Paralyze and Link, as well as the ability to upgrade your firepower with special Bling Bullet modifiers. And as you’d expect from a Danganronpa game, there will be plenty of riddles and puzzles to complete.

I’m a big fan of the Danganronpa series and enjoyed both previous Vita games. I’m curious to see how the world translates to a third-person shooter, considering the anime, manga, and games have relied so heavily on puzzle solving.

Looks interesting. I'd love to play the previous games, but they never go on sale. $30 a pop is a bit much.

I believe the first game is $19.99 on PSN right now. In my opinion it's well worth it.

I agree with eightobject. Both games are great, although they don't play like the one in this story. Instead, they're more like visual novels, but the story is so good.

Dude, the games are amazing. The first two were my games of the year last year. There's a lot of content in there for $30.
