The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth expansion adds 100 - 200 hours

Edmund McMillen has announced the upcoming expansion for The Binding of Isaac, called Afterbirth.

The Binding of Isaac will be receiving an expansion later this year, the game’s developer, Edmund McMillen, announced late last week.

The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth will contain the following additional pieces of content when it’s released later this year:

  • Over 100 new items
  • Afull new game mode that will totally change how you play
  • 10 new challenges
  • A new playable character
  • A new alternate final chapter
  • New alt floors
  • New game endings
  • New final bosses
  • Tons of new bosses and enemies
  • New item pickups, cards, pills, etc.
  • Tons of new achievements and rewards for beating the game on hard
  • New co-op babies
  • New transformations
  • More

The Afterbirth expansion is said to offer 100 to 200 hours, and as of now, doesn’t have a confirmed release date. McMillen is also asking for feedback regarding nine possible challenges that can be included in Afterbirth.

      ...and after putting 100 hours into the original Isaac and 100 into Rebirth, you can bet your ass that I will be buying this!

      If only they removed the obnoxious sounds from the rebirth version i would be soo happy...
      Why change the sounds from the original when they were so well done.
      And... sometimes i think the new sounds from the fly kids are from a son of one of the developers that wanted to be ingame...
