Punch-Out!! has entered the Wii U eShop this week, and if you want to pick it up for half its retail price, you better act quickly.

Nintendo announced it will be bringing some classic Wii games to the Wii U through the console’s eShop. The initial announcement was met with the release of Super Mario Galaxy 2, and this week, Punch-Out!! is now available to download.

During its launch week, Punch-Out!! will be available for 50% off of its retail price, which means you can get the title for just $10 this week. After 12 p.m. ET on January 29, the price will get bumped back up to $20, so you better act fast if you want to get in on the savings.

As a reminder, next week, Metroid Prime Trilogy will be released, so you should make sure to mark your calendars for that one since I have a feeling most Wii U owners will want to own that gem.

Played about 2 hours last night, it's Punch Out on the Wii, si motion controls, racism, and a useless coach amidst dodging and counter attacking. I'm enjoying it so far.

I love the three game they have for sale, BUT I own them all and really there is no incentive to purchase again since they didn't reconfigure the games to use the WiiU pad. You still need the Nun-Chucks. So I don't see the upside on this other than not having to swap disc. Hell they weren't even given the hi-res treatment.

I think I need to be talked into this. I really loved Punch-Out!! and Super Punch-Out!!, but I really am kinda tired of the Wii controls. :(

Also, kinda sad that they didn't give it the same treatment that Wind Waker HD got or even just upscaling. :(

If you loved the old ones, this is a no-brainer for $10. I bought it for $50 and had no ragrets.
