Nintendo has announced Kirby and the Rainbow Curse will be releasing on the Nintendo Wii U on February 20 during this morning’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse was first announced back in June 2014 during Nintendo’s E3 presentation, and today, we’re learning a bit more about the game, specifically in regards to its support for Amiibo. The title will be compatible with a select number of Amiibo figures, specifically Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight. Each Amiibo will offer Kirby some new powers, such as the Kirby Amiibo figure giving Kirby the ability to perform a star dash, King Dedede giving extra health, and Meta Knight giving the dash attack ability.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse also offers support for up to four players to play together locally.
