GungHo Online Entertainment’s Puzzle & Dragons will soon be visited by Mario himself as Nintendo is teaming up with the developer to release a Super Mario Bros. version of the popular mobile game.
Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition will inject Mario characters, enemies, and locations into the tried and true formula of the original game. The title will be making its way to the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on April 29 and will see a Western release as well. As far as pricing, the game is currently expecting to retail for ¥4000, or around $34.
Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition will offer both local multiplayer and StreetPass functionality, although what that will be isn’t exactly known at this time.
Now that Nintendo is getting in on the Puzzle & Dragons craze, has this piqued your interest to check the game out? I for one have heard a lot about it, but I just haven't had the time to check it out. Now that Nintendo is releasing a 3DS game based on it, I may need to clear my schedule a bit to see what all the fuss is about.
