Minecraft: Story Mode wasn’t the only bit of Minecraft-related news to come out yesterday as Microsoft has announced both Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition have received a rather large update. Version 1.6.4 brings a bunch of new features, so let’s get this show on the road.

Minecraft version 1.6.4 includes a new Tutorial World which helps those who may not be well versed in the way of the Minecraft. Both new players and those in need of a refresher can learn how to play Minecraft, as well as learn about the new features included in this update. Once you learn the ropes, you can then attempt to find all of the Music Discs that are hidden somewhere within the world. Why? Just because.

For those who don’t need a refresher, Minecraft version 1.6.4 includes a number of notablae updates that includes the ability to tame and ride horses, which can don its own horse armor. New enemies have also made an appearance, such as Wither Skeletons, Witches, and Bats. Fireworks have also been made available in the latest update, which can be programmed to go off at certain times of the day.

New host options that allow hosts to control what guests in your world can do, a more advanced Redstone circuit, and new items, blocks, and mobs round out everything included in this update. So if you’ve been looking forward to spending the holidays with Minecraft, this update should keep you busy for quite some time.

PlayStation owners are said to be receiving this update soon.
