Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell tells its tale in musical fashion

A new trailer for Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell was released today, and instead of focusing on the awesome things you can do in the game, today's trailer highlights a portion of the game's story. As a musical.

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell is expected to be released next month, and today, we’re learning a piece of the game’s puzzle thanks to the release of a musical trailer.

The Gat Out of Hell musical trailer tells a story of Satan planning to marry off his daughter to a “Saint,” which as you’d expect, Satan’s daughter is against from the get go as she’s just looking for a life of love. Meanwhile, Johnny Gat and Kinzie discuss the possibility of going to Hell to confront Satan. Of course, all of this is carried out in a musical style as all characters included in the trailer will sing, and some even dance about.

In addition to this trailer, PlayStation.Blog has an interview with Gat Out of Hell’s creative director, Steve Jaros, about the creation of this musical number. The interview goes through the process of what went into creating this musical number as well as some of the inspiration for the music. It’s a pretty good read if you enjoyed the trailer enough to want to learn more about it.

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell is expected to be released on January 20 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
