The Sims 4 getting free content starting today

The Sims 4 is getting three updates in the coming months, all for free, starting today. It's time to socialize with grandpa's ghost, and have your sims geek out Star Wars style.

The Sims 4 keeps growing and evolving with free additional content. The Sims Blog announced that there will be three updates coming to the game at no cost, and the first one is available now. The spooky October update brings out the dead. Meaning that dead sims can now return as ghosts and become welcome members of the household. Ghost sims have all the attributes they had when they were alive and special animations depending on how they died. Dedicated players might even find a way to fully resurrect their lost sims.

An October themed update wouldn't be complete without some new costumes, so The Sims 4 is using its Force powers to bring in some Star Wars themed customization options. They include Luke's X-wing flight suit, Lea's white robe and cinnamon bun hair style, Darth Vader's suit, and even Yoda. There are also more eye colors available for your sims, which is a feature that has often been requested by the community.

In November, swimming pools will make a big splash back into The Sims world (who wants to go swimming in November?). December will introduce new Career Paths and rewards, so have your sims update their resumes.

My understanding is 4 is a vast improvement over 2. Over 3? is debatable
