NHL 15 available on EA Access

You can slap some pucks five days early, but only for a six-hour sample.

As promised, EA Sports has delivered the goods with the new EA Access program on Xbox One, giving users the chance to play one of its forthcoming sports titles five days before its release.

NHL 15 is now available as part of the program's demo program, and players can download the full title now. There is a catch, of course, as you'll only be able to play through it for six hours before the demo shuts down. You can buy the full game Tuesday for a 10 percent discount if you're a member ($53.99) and continue your progress without skipping a beat.

A six-hour trial should be enough time to scoot the Colorado Avalanche through the playoffs, yes? We'll find out.

NHL 15 will release this Tuesday on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
