Double Fine has announced its next indie partnership, for the game Gang Beasts. It's a multiplayer brawler that harkens back to Double Dragon and Streets of Rage, but with a more playful tone. It comes from UK-based studio Boneloaf.

Gang Beasts has been available as a pre-alpha, and Double Fine noted as part of the announcement that it will be coming to Steam Early Access on August 29. The team will also be showing it at PAX Prime (booh #117). Check out the video below to see eight minutes of Play-Doh-looking characters wailing on each other.

A press release with four videos attached instead of only the one that looks best is the PR person's fault, not the press's!
