For those European Xbox One owners who have been looking to transform its Xbox One into a cable box (without the need for actually modifying their system), your solution is at hand.

Microsoft has announced a new digital tuner adapter through its Xbox Wire page, and it's set to launch for 29.99 (or $40 in U.S. dollars). It will be available in late October for the UK, as well as France, Italy, Germany and Spain. There's no word yet on when it will hit other markets.

The adapter will plug into a USB port and allow users to display free channels, along with accessing premium features like being able to pause live programming and accessing shows through both physical and voice commands (if you own the Kinect). It'll also integrate with the Xbox Snap program, making it easier to watch TV while waiting on a multiplayer match, or vice versa.

We'll keep you informed if the device gets announced for more territories.
