Sharknado: The Video Game lurching towards mobile

Sharknado is getting a video game. WE'VE ARRIVED, PEOPLE.

1

Can we just go ahead and proclaim July the month of the Sharknado already? Rifftrax is going to rip the original movie apart in a special presentation tomorrow and July 15th. SyFy Films is set to premiere the sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One, at the end of the month (with Andy Dick, no less!). And now Majesco is teaming up with SyFy to bring the swirling predator cyclone to the mobile front.

Sharknado: The Video Game will take the form of an endless runner, where players will have the ability to bounce off the backs of sharks in order to reach higher platforms and avoid flooded streets, where even more sharks lurk. There's even an option to run into the Sharknado head-on with a chainsaw in hand, earning bonus points as you gut your way through it.

No release date has been given for the game just yet, but it will arrive before Sharknado 2 premieres at the end of the month for iOS devices. Other Ocean and The Asylum are helping out with co-development because, you know, it takes more than one company to handle a Sharknado.

Now then, we've got some great ideas for the Bearquake game.
