As expected, Nintendo showed off more of its Yarn Yoshi project today during the company’s E3 Digital Event, but now it’s undergone a name change. Say hello to Yoshi’s Woolly World.

Similar in nature to the team’s Kirby’s Epic Yarn project, the game enables your character, made of yarn, to interact with the world, opening up new doorways by eliminating blocks and using objects. Also, in traditional Yoshi fashion, you can use eggs to blast through walls and collect objects, while also using his air jump to get across larger gaps, and utilizing his tongue to defeat enemies and serve other purposes.

The game is centered around exploration, according to the developers. This enables Yoshi to look around to find bonus gifts and other hidden goodies.

Transformations also play a huge part in Wooly World, as Yoshi can transform, since he’s made of yarn and all. In addition, the game will also include a two-player co-op mode, where they can team up to take on larger enemies. Players can even eat up their fellow Yoshi and spit them out to reach greater distances.
